  5/07/07 - Senator Joe Scarnati (R-Jefferson) spoke at the 14th annual memorial service held today by the Pennsylvania Fraternal Order of Police at the State Capitol in Harrisburg. Scarnati, who serves as president pro tempore of the Senate, joined Gov. Ed Rendell, Attorney General Tom Corbett and other speakers to honor and remember officers who have been killed in the line of duty, including three in 2006. The number of slain officers across the U.S. since 1900 is approaching 17,000.
