11/29/06 - Sen. Jane Clare Orie (R-40) speaks on measures she sponsored that were signed into law by the governor. Senate Bill 439 will establish a statewide evidence collection program to facilitate the prosecution of cases of rape and sexual assault. Senate Bill 944 will impose a minimum of 10 years in prison for anyone over 18 who sexually assaults a child under 16.

This month's show looks at the accomplishments over the
recently completed two-year legislative session in the
Pennsylvania Senate. It also salutes five retiring
members as well as the late Senator Bob Thompson.
This fall marked a significant milestone as PA celebrated
the 100th birthday of its State Capitol. This month’s
show features the Centennial parade, re-dedication ceremony,
gala, and a rare, behind-the-scenes Capitol Dome tour.
