Senate Majority Policy Committee to Consider
Economic Impact of PA’s Hospitals
HARRISBURG -- The
Senate Majority Policy Committee, chaired by Senator Joe Conti (R-10), will hold
a hearing on the impact of hospitals on Pennsylvania’s economic development this
Friday, September 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Burstin Room at West Penn
Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Sen. Conti will offer opening remarks. Those
scheduled to testify include: Paul Umbach, president, Tripp Umbach; James M.
Collins, president and CEO, Western Pennsylvania Hospital; George Huber, senior
vice president, Corporate Relations and Regional Programming, University of
Pittsburgh Medical Center; Ron Butler, president and CEO, Laurel Health System;
Jan Fisher, president and CEO, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital; Mary
Libengood, president, Meyersdale Medical Center; Tom Gasbarre, board president,
Dubois Regional Medical Center.
